Our Commitments

Since our inception, a key pillar and commitment of Yon-Ka Paris is giving back to people and our planet.

Taking Tangible Action for the Environment

Yon-Ka works every day to use more eco-friendly processes, including containers, packaging materials, and promotional tools with a lower impact on the environment.

Today, we can promise that:

  • All of our plastic tubes (PP or HDPE) are recyclable*
  • 20% of our retail products are in 100% recyclable glass bottles*
  • Our labels are printed on 100% recyclable paper from sustainably managed forests (FSC)
  • All our notices are printed with vegetable ink on paper from sustainably managed forests (FSC)

One of our FSC packaging suppliers (Iggesund, a Swedish company) is one of the 100 companies most committed to sustainable development in the world, according to the United Nations Global Compact index.

We are always working to improve our processes so we can continue reducing our carbon imprint. This translates into tangible actions in favour of the environment, both current and future: better waste management for a greener product site, increasingly eco-friendly formulations and packaging, and more responsible treatment protocols.

Yon-Ka Save the Bees Campaign

Yon-Ka has implemented a genuine action for nature since 2014 by supporting the work of the “Un toit pour les abeilles” association (A Roof for Bees).

Faced with the threat to this important population for ecology, the brand thus made it possible to install beehives in Haute-Provence, creating a home for over 750,000 bees!

Cure Foundation

Yon-Ka is committed to making its mark by collaborating with organizations that support the fight against breast cancer. Every year, during the month of October, Yon-Ka pledges to donate to the CURE Foundation. This campaign is dedicated to helping increase awareness of the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women and the most common cancer among Canadian women (excluding non-melanoma skin cancers).

Since 1997, the CURE Foundation has been driving the fight against breast cancer by investing in programs for prevention and early detection, improving treatment and supporting patients and their families.
